Justus Mirembe

Justus is the Chair, Board of Directors and founding member of NAUCA. He has dedicated majority of his adult life serving as a volunteer in various communities across Canada and the United States.
He believes that the attitude any individual brings to their volunteer work, to some extent reflects on their professional and personal life. As Mahatma Ghandi famously stated, “the best way to find yourself, is to loose yourself in the service of others”
Justus’ community volunteer service spans over two decades where he has held leadership positions in various community organizations such as;
- Board of Trustee, Uganda North American Association (UNAA 2022 to Present)
- Chair, Uganda-Canada Business Converntion (2012 – Present).
- Operations Manager, Uganda BC Cranes Soccer Association (2008 – Presnt)
- Board of Direcor, BC Soccer Association (2017-2020)
- President, African Sports and Cultural Association (2009-2017),
- Operations Manager, Freekicks.Org (2014-2017), etc.
Justus’ Community Service has earned him merit awards which include;
- The Citation of Excellence “Lifetime Achievement Award’ African Canadian Soccer and Cultural Association (May 2019)
- The UNAA Personality of the Year, “Exemplary Leadership” (September 2020),
- BC Soccer Association “Director Leadership” active role in Canada’s bid to secure the 2026 FIFA World Cup! (February 2020).
Professionally, Justus works for the Canadian Federal Government as an Armed Law Enforcement Officer protecting the voiceless and holding bad guys accountable! You may run into him at major Canadian Airports, Sea Ports or Land Border crossings!
